MWC AI PLAYGROUND — SESSION 2

Build Your Persistent Workspace

Claude Projects: setup, structure, and make time

“Every new chat,
you start from zero.”

Re-explain yourself. Re-upload files. Repeat instructions.
That’s the friction. Projects remove it.

A Project is a persistent workspace

Your documents, always loaded

Your instructions, always active

Every chat starts already knowing you

Set it up once. Use it forever.

Briefing a new contractor every Monday

vs.

Working with someone who already knows your business.

10 minutes. Do it now.

01

Create the Project

Go to claude.ai → Projects → + New Project

02

Add Your Knowledge

Upload 1–3 files: bio, CV summary, a doc you reference often

03

Write Your Instructions

5–8 lines: who you are, your tone, what good output looks like

Example instructions

You are working with [Name], an independent [role] at the intersection of [domain] and [domain]. Be direct. Lead with what matters most. Shorter by default. When thinking: probe before concluding. Challenge assumptions doing unnoticed work. Offer the counterintuitive read when it’s more honest. One clarifying question before starting if genuinely ambiguous.

THE ONE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING

voice-and-style.md

Most people skip this. Don’t.
It’s the difference between Claude that sounds like you
and Claude that sounds like everyone else.

Now — make something.

New to Claude? Set up your first project.

Used Claude before? Upgrade a workflow.

Have something on your list? Use this time.

A few things worth knowing

Free accounts: 5 projects. Paid: unlimited.

Update files manually — no auto-sync yet.

Keep instructions short. 5–8 lines is enough.

One project per context. Don’t try to do everything in one.

Test it:
“What do you know about me and how should we work together?”
